The Weak Signals Toledo R/C Show is the one place where park pilots can see the newest, shiniest, and coolest aircraft and gadgets—all in one building. This year’s 60th anniversary show was held April 4-6, at the Seagate Centre, in Toledo, Ohio. More than 150 vendors provided sneak peeks at their latest aircraft, boats, and cars—many of which will not be available until this summer. This year’s exhibitors included Brodak Manufacturing and Distributing Co., Du-Bro Products, Great Planes, Hitec RCD, Hobbico, Horizon Hobby, Mountain Models, and Stevens AeroModel. In addition to the aeromodeling eye candy, visitors learned more about multirotors and FPV (first-person view) systems, participated in an RC auction, found some great deals at the swap shop, and attended seminars. A portion of the auction proceeds benefited the new AMA Foundation and AMA’s scholarship program. A total of $3,600 was raised. The Toledo Show is the largest and longest-running RC model expo in the US. Park Pilot Editor-in-Chief Jay Smith spoke with some of the manufacturers at this great event about their newest products. You can watch videos about airplanes such as the E-flite UMX Pitts S-1S BNF and Hitec’s Multiplex Shark foamie below. There are also plenty of photos of this outstanding event to enjoy.
