The AMA is working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to harmonize model aviation within the national airspace. Several years of effort are finally beginning to pay off. We recently signed a working agreement with the FAA and expect to soon be recognized as a community-based organization for model aviation. Additional effort will be needed, but the result should allow you to safely enjoy the hobby of model aviation within the United States.
