2014 MAY 17 – 18 Hosted by Air Age, the RCX Radio Control & Hobby Expo takes place on these dates at the Orange County Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. RCX features manufacturer displays in several RC hobby categories, including airplanes and helicopters. A flying cage for manufacturer demonstrations and performances by some of the West Coast’s hottest 3D pilots are featured attractions at RCX. General admission tickets are $10 online, and $15 at the gate. Children younger than 12 are admitted free. rcx.com APRIL 4 – 6 The Weak Signals Toledo R/C Expo, commonly referred to as the “Toledo Show,” takes place on these dates at the Seagate Convention Center in Toledo, Ohio. The Toledo Show features hundreds of manufacturer exhibits, static display competitions, manufacturer symposia, an annual auction, ongoing raffles, and national-level flying competitions that include the Electric Tournament of Champions (ETOC). toledoshow.com JUNE 6 - 8 The sixth running of the National Electric Fly-In (NEFI) takes place on these dates at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. Sponsored by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the National Electric Fly-In offers three exciting days of flying, food, prizes and camaraderie at one of the country’s finest flying sites. Night flying will also be offered. All proceeds will benefit the National Model Aviation Museum and the Animal Rescue Fund of Muncie, Indiana. Naturally, pets are welcome.
