AMA 75th Anniversary

Jay Smith Documents AMA's 75th Anniversary Event
As featured on page 12 in the Fall 2011 Park Pilot

The AMA’s 75th Anniversary event was held from July 14 through 17 at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. It took place in conjunction with the Nats, which was celebrating its 85th anniversary.

All forms of aeromodeling were represented; off-road RC cars were running on the AMA’s on-site track, and RC boats were allowed to operate on the pond. Hundreds of aircraft and pilots of every skill level were in attendance, and Joe Bock’s half-scale Hughes Racer was a true crowd-pleaser. Thanks go to all our members who participated in this very special occasion.
