Featured Events

Below are some of the featured events that will be held at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana, this year. To the left, check out the events that are going on in your state or see if an AMA air show team is performing near you.

• XFC: June 12-14, the 8th annual international Extreme Flight Championships will be held at the AMA National Flying Site.

• The Academy of Model Aeronautics, in association with its Special Interest Group for Radio Control helicopters—IRCHA (International Radio Controlled Helicopter Association)—is pleased to host the 2009 F3C World Championships. This contest will be held August 2-11.












• The National Aeromodeling Championships (Nats) involves roughly 1,200 competitors and a workforce, composed of officials and volunteers, of approximately 500. The Nats comprises 105 official events, in which pilots from all 50 states and several foreign countries compete. This contest runs from June 29 to August 2.



• The 2009 IRCHA Jamboree will be held August 12-16 at the AMA National Flying Site.
